The owner took the time to leave the store, go out to his car and bring back a box of coin cases in excellent condition to save me money I was about to spend in his store. That was really cool. Honest, helpful, and great prices / big selection. Well worth it ! Thank you very much !

I’m new to coins, me and my wife stopped in and met Sonny the owner. Absolutely one of the nicest, most honest people I have ever met. I will be back, if I was looking to sell this is where I would go.

Friendly staff who actually allowed me to use their equipment to measure silver coins. Good price on the item I purchased. Very helpful with assisting in suggesting online buys for a particular item. I will definitely be back.

The good old days of Royal Coin are long gone. I’ve been coming since 2002, when it was an ideal universal coin shop for a 10 year old beginner collector. I was in town this week, and decided to stop by. In the past, they kept a nice selection of high value foreign banknotes in stock, and I was ready to spend money. 1. It has morphed into only gold and bullion - little else. So unfortunate for a once-thriving old-school general coin shop. 2. I was not greeted as I entered the door, and immediately noticed a strange dynamic between the three gentlemen working. 3. A gentleman with a goatee finally asked me what I wanted, and it felt like I was inconveniencing him by asking to look through the banknote boxes. 4. I pilfered through the overpriced banknotes and found one. After that, I was ignored twice by the gentleman. I was waiting to pay (and he knew I was ready to pay), but disappeared into the back room. I had to ask him to accept my payment. Amazing! 5. Sunny was talking to a third employee about how he shouldn’t have talked about a sale / made a sale in front of a certain competitor on the showroom floor. That’s not the appropriate place for such counseling. 6. Unless you are speculating on bullion (as the owner does on her cutesy Instagram page), avoid this place!

Okay I've got to say I've given quite a bit of different reviews from several hundred places I've got to vote number one in my book just for customer service on Royal coin I come about every Saturday or so and pick up a stash and check out what's new they always have the best variety of coins in Houston graded rounds ingots collectible coins silver coins gold coins you name it top of the list they greet you with a smile every single time very helpful give you a great deal on pricing I recommend this place to anybody in the city of Houston that's getting into coins or collectibles to check this shop out top notch David Christie and I apologize that I forget everyone else's names very nice people always very helpful check me out for more reviews subscribe and follow and thank you for anyone's support oh PS I'm a veteran and they know that and they always take good care of me
